For the 14th consecutive year, Walsh University has been recognized in The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, joining only 23 other undergraduate colleges worldwide in the newly released 2026–27 edition. Published by the Cardinal Newman Society, the guide serves as a trusted resource for Catholic families seeking an education aligned with their faith, highlighting institutions that maintain a strong Catholic identity in academics, campus life, and community engagement.
In 2024, Walsh became the first university to receive a five-year renewal of its recommendation in The Newman Guide following a rigorous review process, underscoring its deep commitment to Catholic higher education.
“The impact that Walsh University is having is remarkable, and I believe it will only continue to grow,” said Patrick Reilly, founder of the Cardinal Newman Society, during his visit to Walsh to announce the five-year renewal.
The latest guide includes 73 K–12 schools, seven curriculum providers for schools and homeschools, 24 undergraduate colleges, and 75 graduate programs and certificates.
“At Walsh University, we integrate faith and reason, preparing our students for lives of purpose and service,” said President Tim Collins. “Our inclusion in the Newman Guide for more than a decade now reaffirms our commitment to fostering a community that embodies our core values of community, excellence, integrity, service, and faith—strengthening relationships and our important role as an education partner for life.”
Founded in 1993, the Cardinal Newman Society promotes faithful Catholic education. Walsh’s continued inclusion in The Newman Guide reflects its commitment to integrating its Catholic mission throughout the student experience.
