ATHLETICS

The guiding principles under which Walsh Athletics will continue will be based on health and safety best practices; federal, state, and local laws; Walsh University Policy; and NCAA requirements and rulings.

Spring Athletic Season

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) will be sponsoring conference schedules for the following sports: Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Indoor and Outdoor Men’s and ‘Women’s Track, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Bowling, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Baseball and Softball, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse. Conference Championships will be provided for all sports and NCAA Championships are currently being planned for all traditional winter and spring sports.

COVID surveillance and symptomatic testing will be performed throughout the spring seasons as per NCAA mandates and G-MAC policies.

As per Walsh University Athletic policy, student-athletes maintain the option to opt out of athletic participation due to COVID related concerns without sacrificing their athletic grant-in-aid for the remainder of academic year 2020-2021.
