The Walsh University Women's Committee, organized to serve as a liaison to the community, has raised more than $500,000 to aid in various university projects, including a commitment to the David Campus Center, campus signs and beautification, purchasing of equipment and furnishings and maintaining an endowed scholarship fund. This Walsh women's group organizes two major Canton-area fundraisers annually: the Fall Online Auction and the Passport to the World.

Allison Brazer

Major: Biology - Pre-Physical Therapy

I am so grateful to have been chosen as a recipient of the Walsh Women’s Committee Scholarship. As I will be attending school for six years, for undergraduate and graduate degrees, the cost is intimidating and will be a substantial financial burden to assume. This award allows me to spend less time worrying about my school loans and savings and focus more on my education, extracurriculars, and professional development at Walsh University. Once I have obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology Pre-Physical Therapy, I will be beginning Physical Therapy school at Walsh. I am in the early assurance program, guaranteeing my spot in the program. Following completion of graduate school, my goal is to work in a rehabilitation hospital setting.
