Walsh University's Timken Natural Sciences Center honors long-time supporter of the University, the Timken Foundation of Canton. Focused on health and natural sciences, the Timken Natural Sciences Center features chemistry and biology labs for beginning and advanced study of a variety of scientific areas and state-of-the-art classrooms.

The centerpiece of this facility is a Bioinformatics Laboratory, one of only a few in the United States, which utilizes specialized computers to analyze biological, medical, behavioral and health data, allowing for the training needed for Walsh graduates to continue studying the development of new cures for diseases, sources of food and other scientific breakthroughs not possible without this level of educational preparation.

Special guests at the official dedication of the Timken Natural Sciences Center included U. S. Congressman Ralph Regula, a champion of education and health, who worked on Walsh's behalf to help us secure significant federal funding to make this building possible, and Jack Timken, a representative of the Timken Foundation of Canton.
