Psychology or Exercise Science Pre-Occupational Therapy Program
The direct freshman entry program is a 3-year undergraduate model, available to a limited number of graduating high school seniors who will enroll in Walsh University’s Psychology Pre-Occupational Therapy or Exercise Science Pre-Occupational Therapy major.
Prior to Attending Walsh University, students must:
- Be accepted to Walsh University – Apply to Walsh
- Have a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher
- Complete a standardized interview with OT program faculty
Once at Walsh University:
- Must be enrolled in either the Psychology Pre-Occupational Therapy or the Exercise Science Pre-Occupational Therapy major
- Complete pre-requisites for the program with a 3.75 GPA or higher
- Must maintain an overall GPA of 3.75 or higher during their undergraduate curriculum
- Must meet the requirements of OT admissions (with the exception of the OTCAS application) as follows:
- 3 letters of recommendation from an employer, supervisor, instructor, or coach
- Documentation of 20 hours of clinical observation in at least 2 different locations
- Successful completion of an interview with two OT faculty members prior to matriculation into the graduate program.
