Students interested in a career as a Physical Therapist major in psychology with the intent to pursue a graduate degree in Physical Therapy. This pre-professional major offers a strong background in behaviorally based techniques for interacting with clients and a solid foundation in science coursework for graduate studies.
Major: Psychology/Pre-PT
In the summer of 2017, I went to the Congo in Africa for a service trip at a Christian hospital that treats patients who can't afford medical care. I used the skills I learned at Walsh to assist the surgeons, physical therapists and nurses with whatever the patients needed. It was a really good experience for me both spiritually and professionally.
Major: Biology Pre-Physical Therapy, Accelerated DPT 3+3
When I came to college I figured that there would be a lot of things that I would have to give up, namely my love of music and dance, to succeed in my science courses and prepare for Physical Therapy school. What I have found is that these things have given me more life and enriched my college experience greatly, helping me to build a greater community at Walsh.
