HVAC diagnostics has moved well beyond a single gauge and a clipboard. This one-day, in-person seminar trains technicians to run full-system diagnostics using Bluetooth-connected smart probes and the measureQuick platform — an app-based diagnostic and reporting tool for refrigerant, electrical, and airflow measurement.

Participants configure and connect smart probes, then use them live across three critical diagnostic domains: refrigerant-circuit conditions, electrical parameters, and airflow/static pressure. The day builds toward the measureQuick app's advanced features — vitals, scorecards, and integrated reporting — so participants leave able to run a comprehensive, multi-parameter system diagnosis and generate a professional report from a single platform.

Participant preparation

Working knowledge of HVAC/R systems; current EPA Section 608 certification (or in progress) recommended.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the role of IoT-connected smart probes and the measureQuick platform in modern, multi-parameter HVAC diagnostics.
  • Install, configure, and connect Bluetooth-enabled smart probes and gauges to the measureQuick app.
  • Calibrate and maintain smart-probe instrumentation for accurate field readings.
  • Measure and interpret refrigerant-circuit parameters and identify common refrigerant issues using smart-probe data.
  • Measure and interpret electrical parameters (voltage, amperage, and related indicators) using smart probes and the app.
  • Measure airflow and static pressure with smart-probe instrumentation and diagnose common airflow issues.
  • Use the measureQuick app's vitals, scorecards, and reporting tools to generate an integrated diagnostic report and apply best practices for technical documentation.
