Major: Government and Foreign Affairs; Communication

As Jaden Baxter winds down his senior year of college, he can reflect on a well-rounded Walsh University experience. In addition to dual majors in Government and Foreign Affairs and Communication, Jaden has been actively involved with Football, Residence Life, Black Student Union and the Leaders in Social Justice program.

“Through each experience I have gained a plethora of new perspectives on life. I have been through times of pain, sadness and downheartedness with each experience having a unique effect. But I have gained the innate ability to find the positive in every situation,” Jaden said. “It was because of these times of trial that I emerged into a more compassionate, caring and loving man who respects everyone regardless of differences. These experiences have changed me forever, forcing me to become the man I am today.

Beyond his interest in football and other programming, the top reason Jaden enrolled at Walsh was the close-knit sense of family he felt from everyone he met on campus. The connection with the people at Walsh is what he says he will remember the most from his time here.

Walsh has prepared me to achieve my goals by allowing me to meet several different people who have a unique perspective than my own, allowing me to grow as a person,” he said. “Through my internship with the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office, I have gained a log for justice and unity. After graduation, I plan to pursue my law degree.”
