Lexi Twaddle

Lexi, a Walsh University student
Class of 2025
Major: Biology
Minor: Business

What makes Lexi Twaddle shine is her ability to step into a new place and immediately strengthen the community around her. Coming to Walsh from Pittsburgh to play soccer, she embraced campus life with energy and purpose, building connections, leading with compassion, and helping create a sense of home for others through her involvement and service.

Lexi says the gift that shaped her most is growth. “Stepping into leadership roles, like serving as Student Government President, really shaped me as a person and helped me discover what I’m capable of,” she said. Supporting classmates, planning events, and watching others gain confidence showed her the power of connection. “Walsh’s community is unlike any other, and that sense of belonging makes leaving so much harder.”

Her Walsh experience also helped her clarify her calling in healthcare. “My dad’s heart issues inspired me to pursue cardiology, and eventually perfusion,” she said. Hands-on learning in Biology, clinical exposure, and conversations with mentors strengthened her resolve. “Walsh has given me the tools and opportunities to pursue grad school and a career in perfusion.”

Driven to blend science with leadership, Lexi added a Business minor in her sophomore year. She immersed herself in campus life, serving as Student Government President, Events Director for the Business Club, and engaging with the Volleyball Club and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. “Meeting and supporting countless students, making them feel welcome, and being their voice defined my leadership style,” she said.

Lexi is especially grateful for the guidance she received from President Tim Collins. “His humility, guidance, and encouragement have been invaluable, and I’m grateful to call him a mentor and friend,” she shared. That mentorship helped her strengthen her faith, deepen her values, and define her sense of purpose.

Her favorite memories are the everyday moments that made Walsh feel like home. “It’s the little things… the casual meetups at Scherv, carnival nights, and even the freshman-year boy band concert,” she said. “Those moments made Walsh feel like home.”

After graduation, Lexi plans to continue her education at Carlow University for cardiovascular perfusion. “Walsh has prepared me in every way,” she said. “The relationships, experiences, and opportunities here shaped who I am today.”

For Lexi, Walsh University is more than a campus. “Walsh has truly been a second home for me,” she said. “The people, experiences, and opportunities here have shaped who I am today and prepared me for the future.”
