What is Experiential Learning

Experiential Learning is the opportunity for students to extend their knowledge and apply their skills outside of the traditional classroom setting to better prepare them for lifelong careers. Under the direction of Rachel Hosler, Associate Dean of Experiential Learning, three offices on campus that arrange “high impact” experiences for Walsh students coordinate their efforts for a more strategic alignment of resources. These offices are the Global Learning Office, Service Learning Office and Career Readiness and Development Center.

Through each of these offices, students can participate in programs that embed work experiences into the curriculum through internships, practicum experiences, fieldwork, research, service learning and global trips.
